A Peaceful Way Home Care’ goal is just what our name conveys: We know it is important to have peace of mind that your loved one is being well cared for in their home. We help our clients live life as fully as possible, and provide respite for family members. We also offer senior-related training and education to family members who are part of the care team.
We are located in Rolling Hills Estates at the intersection of Crenshaw Blvd. and Palos Verdes Dr. North, and are locally owned and operated by Terry McGovern, a long time resident of the Palos Verdes Peninsula.
Because of his own personal experience and concern of ensuring his father received compassionate care in his later years, Terry realized the importance of having a trusted caregiver who genuinely cares about the client, so he established A Peaceful Way Home Care. His father lived 2,000 miles away in Chicago, making it even more difficult. He gained insights through this experience of finding the right caregiver for his father that help him in his business today.
Terry only hires those he’d entrust with his own loved ones. A Peaceful Way Home Care has a rigorous selection process: they must be bonded, TB tested, fifty-state criminal background checked, drug-screened, and registered with the state of California. We also have a training program and follow-up to ensure quality, compassionate care is consistently provided. Learn more about our caregivers here.
Terry also learned about the importance of quality care from his grandmother, Anna Boyle, who worked nearly her entire adult life as a caregiver — well until 80 herself! Grandma Boyle shared stories with Terry that influence him even today.
Having lived in the South Bay Bay for over three decades, Terry is committed to his community. His three children attend Palos Verdes schools and play AYSO locally. Terry works closely with senior service groups such as Palos Verdes Seniors, Palos Verdes Village, and PVE CARES.
